Beyond the Veil Game 3 - Crystal Shards

Location: Malibu Creek State Park

Date: Friday, January 18th to Sunday, January 20th

Time: Game begins at 7:00PM on Friday, ends at approximately noon on Sunday

PC Game Fee: $50*

*This game is cheaper than a normal Live Effects event because food will not be provided by game staff. I highly encourage the players to organize "potluck" style meals.

NPC Game Fee: $10. Please contact Plot if you wish to NPC.

Preparation: We're camping in January, and that means the game site is going to be extremely cold. Please, please, please bring warm clothing and anything else you might need. I will check and post the seasonal rules for fire at the campsite as we get closer to the game date.

Lore: A brave group of adventurers recently managed to fight their way through the Citadel of M on the Plane of Ruin to rescue a strange girl named Asphodel. Sent by the Fey, the adventurers still have not discovered exactly what made Asphodel so significant. After the girl's rescue and defeating the Priest of M, as well as many of his "perfected" minions, the adventurers returned to the relative safety of the Wyrd of Avalon.

While Salaris and Siyona escort Asphodel to her home, the group finds something unusual - a stone carried by Asphodel seems to react to something in the distance, not far from the girl's homeland. Intrigued, Siyona and Salaris send out a summons for adventurers who might be interested in investigating whatever magic might be calling to Asphodel's stone.

More information will be provided at a later time. You may find some clues on the Live Effects forums or through other means.

Rules:We will be using the Live Effects 2.0 rules with some changes. More information on these changes will be posted as soon as possible. We will be playtesting some alternate mechanics during this event.

What type of cake does Emi like?

one that isnt a lie. duh!

Emi is partial to rainbow chip cake with rainbow chip frosting (IT'S A HOLDOVER FROM MY YOUTH IN THE 80s OKAY??? OKAY??????!), but knows that this is not necessarily easily obtainable. Therefore, Emi also likes yellow cake, especially if there's fruit between the layers. Emi is not partial to loads and loads of frosting. Emi really really loved the strawberry cake that appeared at the dinner, if that gives you any help. (Bints and Emis share an affinity for strawberries.) Emi is aware that she's being very particular, but feels that giving more details is better than shrugging self-consciously and saying "um" politely. Yellow cake. Or very rich and delicious chocolate. But not standard chocolate.

So: what do you think? Should it be Bint's birthday, too? I admit to not having a date for her, yet, but late January would fit, if she were conceived at Beltaine.

Please bear with me, these are playtest rules and I realize they may require further balance changes at a later time. I would be glad to answer any questions about the rules, but I would appreciate it if everyone would be willing to try to them out before we start another major discussion about calls vs. non-call on this forum. =)

What was the Wrap up of the weekend game in character.

The crisis overtend and people begin popping back to the Wyrd???

If Memory serves someone aske Darious to come to the wyrd.

from an in character point of view, I dont think the crises was really solved, if you dont know, you dont know =) it's an in character perspective on how things happened and played out through your eyes.

As for returning to the Wyrd, I'd most likely assumed Darius followed us all back through..the tree..(right Andrew? it was a tree wasnt it?) thus would be back at the campsite/town we have there.
