I've got a mummy sleeping bag and wool blankets! :)

But I hear flying out of the washington/reagan airport in January sucks.

Expect a PM from me sometime today. 8)

I'd be interested in an assigned PC or NPC as well. =)

Then give me an assigned PC or NPC and I'll muddle along?

Constance - picture it like what Xaria would be like if there was a single GM group running a single storyline.

So yes, it's a big game world. And yes, the game location travels around a bit and occurs in different places. But there is a single main plot thread pulling it into a cohesive main plotline.

The game story was originally played through as a tabletop game, so some of the plot points have already been fleshed out. But major divergences have already occured in the LARP version.

The larp has only run twice. And all of us in the larp who aren't the ones who did the tabletop game are a little in over our heads as far as being familiar with the game world. We just do the best we can.

Now that the players guide is posted and we all have the opportunity to read it through a few times, getting a feel for the game world should get much easier for everyone.

Ira can only reserve game sites on the first of every month.

Unless you want to camp in Malibu in January...

This looks like a great tabletop world but as a LARP it seems rather grand scope.
I'm very confused by all of it...

Perhaps once it makes sense to me, I'll try to play along.

Its not *that* complicated.

Bad guy wants to conquer the world. You just have to figure out WHICH one wants to do what when. Oh and where.

Spiderfairy -- we're waiting to see if we get the site before we announce the event. I should know as soon as Ira knows 'cause he's just cool that way.

In the meantime -- we're also running mini-stories and plotlines in the forums in a "play by post" game that leads up to each event whether Convention or LiveEffects hosted. You're more than welcome to join in.

Let me attest to how much fun being a pre-written PC is. There's a hugely complicated story going on here, and having a pre-written PC gives you some built-in hooks into that story.

When, where, who, what......when & where will the game be run? =)

Sounds interesting.

To PC or NPC

Here are a few definitions of the types of characters you can play in this game. This is not a listing of races.

A PC is a character made up by a player and under the complete control of a player. This kind of character can be native to Nef-Etnus or a cross-over character from the Veil or Wyrd. If you choose to play a cross-over character please contact me privately.

A pre-written PC is a character made up by me and under the complete control of a player (not me).

An NPC is a Villian; filler people like guards, servants, peasants, and general townsfolk;monsters; monster demonstrators (red shirts provided :P ) and the occasional directed character.

An Antagonist is a character who does things to hinder other characters or further along a personal goal that may or may not be for the good of all. But an Antagonist has redeeming qualities and layers of background and personality that make them much more than two dimensional villians.

A Villian is generally two-dimensional evil, nasty, bad guys (or gals) who exist to further plots, make the player characters feel like hero's, and who everyone cheers when they die.

If you choose to play a PC or NPC Antagonist or NPC Villian be prepared to loose the character when the PC's figure out what's going on and try to kill them.

I have a number of pre-written characters available to play, and a few NPC Villians. The NPC Villian characters are not one game characters, but characters that if they survive, are part of the world and will continue on through mulitple games. Contact me if you're interested in a pre-written character or an NPC Villian.
