"You know it wasn't always this way." said the old timer leaned
against the log by the fire.
"Used to be everyone had a car, well almost everyone, almost everyone
over eighteen that is. Most people didn't walk ver far. Soda drinks
were common you went down to the store and bought it. None of this
fuss to, it was common.
"No things weren't like they used to be." said the old timer with disguist.
"Almost everybody used to have a job. None of this foraging around
all the time. You just went to the store and bought it. Then it was
yours no haggling about it."
"So what happened?" you ask curious.
"Well the war" said the old-timer, " it changed everything. It happend
so fast." said the old timer with a softer tone.
"First came the cyber attack," he said " we were blinded. we had
grown so reliant to the internet we didn't know how to operate with
out it. People lost power to their homes. there were food shortages.
There were riots. But the worse was yet to come....."
"Then the second wave came." said the old timer.
"We had made alot of enemies, they must have figured that we were weak and they were right. Though, it took us months to get organized. Even then we didn't put up much of a resistance." saying the old timer seeming to be ashamed.
"At one time we had the most powerful military power on the globe and here we were being invaded by a bunch of third world nations."
"Finally we drove them of but at a terrible price. We took heavy casualties and alot of damage to us. But the worse of it is they used a new weapon, a weapon that turned people into zombies. It spread quickly. Now we had to fight ourselves."
"As if we didn't hyave enought to worry about we started having reports of reptilians and werewolves fighting each other and leaving massive damage in their wake. They had come from the center of the eaqrth. They had been watching us for a long time."
